Hey hallo! We gaan even terug naar die goede oude tijd. De tijd waarin er nog niet zoveel foto's gemaakt werden als tegenwoordig. Maar om de foto's díe gemaakt zijn moeten we vaak lachen. Waarom? Het komt door de mode van toen. Wedden? Kijk maar...

Zo fashionable.. Het interieur van mijn tante al helemaal! Om maar niet te beginnen over sokken in open schoentjes..

Toen waren verjaardagstaarten nog spannend! En maillots nog hip #fail
En last but not least: de kapsels. Lin en ik bij opa op schoot. Kapsel bloempot. Maar....
...toen we eenmaal ouder werden, ging het kapsel richting type fonteintje.
Toch blijft het schattig. Ik ben benieuwd hoe we over 20 jaar naar onze foto’s van nu kijken. Tot die tijd lekker foto’s blijven schieten! DOEI!

Deze ezel heeft haar hoofd gestoten. En hard ook. Half december 2010 besloot ik namelijk weer te gaan roken. Was het omdat ik op de prachtige Yasawas eilanden van Fiji was? Of was het omdat ik de week ervoor in een dronken bui al lichtelijk tegen die steen aan gelopen was? Ik weet het niet. Wel weet ik dat het dom was. Dom omdat ik al 1,5 jaar gestopt was. Dom omdat ik daar zo gelukkig mee was. En vooral dom omdat ik wist dat ik wéér door dat hele traject heen zou moeten als ik opnieuw zou besluiten te stoppen.
En op dat punt ben ik nu aangekomen. De vorige keer wist ik niet wat ik kon verwachten. Het was mijn eerste poging en dat lukte! Het stoppen zelf dan hè. Het volhouden bleek een ander verhaal te zijn. Ik moet dus weer aan de bak. Deze ezel heeft nog hoofdpijn van die eerste klap tegen de steen en is niet van plan daar weer tegenop te knallen..

Ik werd vanmorgen wakker en waande me weer even in de Roerdompstraat 18 jaar geleden. Ik was 7 of 8 jaar en lag onder mijn David de Boskabouter dekens te huilen omdat het zo ongelofelijk hard regende dat ik dacht dat het door mijn ramen heen zou komen. Een paar minuten later werd het licht en tegelijkertijd hoorde ik een keiharde klap. Mijn raam vloog in stukjes mijn bed op. Binnen een paar seconden stond moeders aan mijn bed en sleurde me mee naar de bovenburen. Ik had geen idee van wat er aan de hand was, maar mijn stoere oudere bovenbuurmeisjes stonden te huilen, dus het moest wel erg zijn.
Dat is dus het moment geweest waarop ik mijn angst voor onweer ontwikkelde. Aan de overkant van de straat was er een bolbliksem door de bovenverdieping van een rijtjeshuis heen geraasd. Ik woonde helemaal aan de andere kant van de straat op 3 hoog en zelfs bij ons vlogen de ramen eruit. Oma is naar ons toe komen fietsen (Joost mag weten waarom, de gek) en meer herinner ik me eigenlijk niet. Behalve dat we gezellig kaarsjes aan hadden omdat alles er natuurlijk uit lag.
Jaren daarna ben ik elke keer mijn bed uit gegaan als het onweerde, om beneden op de bank te gaan zitten als daar iemand was. De laatste jaren ben ik er vanaf. Geen idee hoe ik dat gedaan heb, maar ik kan nu gezellig achter het raam gaan zitten om naar het natuurgeweld te kijken.
Vanmorgen werd ik dus wakker van een onwijs harde klap. Het leek wel alsof het huis meeschudde. Ik open Twitter en ik zie daar dezelfde gedachtes voorbij komen: “De wereld vergaat”, “Is het alweer avond?”, “Het is oorlog buiten!”. Ik heb even liggen luisteren en door mijn mini-zolderraampje naar buiten gekeken. Toch heb ik me uiteindelijk gewoon omgedraaid en ben verder gaan tukken. Stoer hè, dat durf ik wel. Ook al heb ik David de Boskabouter niet meer om me te beschermen..

Om nog even terug te komen op mijn vorige bericht: ik herinnerde me later pas weer deze commercial van Douwe Egberts. En hij blijft geniaal!
Ik word oud mensen. Nu hoor ik je schreeuwen: “Oud? Je bent nog maar 25! Zeur niet!”. En ja, je hebt gelijk. Alles doet het nog, ik ben nog niet dement, kan nog gewoon fietsen (mijn conditie vergeten we even) en geniet ook echt nog wel van een KinderSurprise op z’n tijd.
Maar als het gaat om het ontcijferen van de ‘slang’ van 16-jarigen ben ik gewoon een overgrootoma. Waarom? Mijn broertje is 16 en zit op Twitter. Daar zie ik geregeld woorden voorbij komen die ik moet Googlen voordat ik weet wat er gezegd wordt. Loop ik dan achter? Oordeel zelf maar.
